Dear Friends: In Carlinville Illinois, we are focused on providing safe educational opportunities that will enable each of our students to reach their fullest potential as contributing members of an ever changing society. To attain this objective, our Board of Education and our dedicated employees work with the community to develop goals that will guide our curriculum and instruction. For this reason, Carlinville schools have long been noted for their academic excellence and student achievement. An example of this excellence is the membership with North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, now AdvancED. All five schools have received the Transition Endorsement from NCA. The NCA is a voluntary accrediting association with high standards, often greater than those established by the Illinois State Board of Education. Schools that are participating in the NCA endorsement processes, therefore, meet not only the Illinois mandated school improvement requirements, but also standards beyond the expected level. To ensure this academic success, Carlinville School District (CUSD#1) employs well educated and highly qualified professionals who are dedicated to ensuring that each of the CUSD#1’s students receives an outstanding educational experience. To maintain this quality, CUSD#1 encourages the entire community’s involvement and feedback. Finally, Carlinville CUSD#1 is extremely proud of its past and even more excited about its future.
