Assignment 1A
 -

A common myth about self-assessment tools is that they tell you what major or career to pursue. In reality, assessments do not serve that purpose. Rather, they increase your self-awareness so that you can choose a major or career path that fits you given the unique person you are.

There are many resources available to help you achieve this goal.  If you check, many colleges have career centers that provide students with tools designed to help you make sure that you are not wasting your time and money on a career that is not right for you.

Step 1 -
Go to the Bridges website.  On the student sign-in page click on the tab that says, "Site ID."

The site ID login is:
Site ID: 0025987   Password: blair

Once you are logged in find the blue box that says, "Choices Explorer" and click on it.

Now go to the blue box that says, "Work" and click on that.  In the right hand menu on the new page click on "Career Finder." Answer the questions and when your results come up, press Ctrl and Print Scr at the same time and then paste (Ctrl and V) into a Word document, add your name, and print it. Hand this in.

Step 2 - Explore some of the possible degrees that might correspond to your interests.  Use this link to fill in this worksheet  by picking some of the possible majors.  Copy and paste the worksheet into word and type your answers...don't forget your name! Hand this in.
