Find a Place to Live
Project Home

Now that a job has been found, you need to search the Internet to find a suitable rental that will fit within the budget that you will develop in the next step.

Don't look at buying a house
, look at renting.  It is unrealistic to think that someone just out of school will have the resources to buy a home.

In your PowerPoint presentation discuss the amenities that are offered with your apartment. Does the apartment complex offer parking, a clubhouse, or a pool.  Is heat, electric, air conditioning, or trash included with your rent, just because it is listed as being available doesn't mean it's included. Make sure you include pictures.  If you are having trouble copying and pasting, let me know and I will help you.

Check this
link for help finding a place.  This link is for newspapers that are online and many have classified ads with apartment rentals.  Another source for rental listings is Craigslist although one has to be careful in real life as some of the ads have turned out to be scams.

The location of your apartment must be within 50 miles of the 3 new job offers. Create a map that shows the location of the job you are accepting and the location of your home.  You may have to do a "Control" and "Print Screen" command and then paste the screenshot of your map into Paint and cut out the section that you need and save that section as a jpeg or gif.  Use the Paint program to create the locations on your map too.  Include the map in your PowerPoint presentation.
