Career Quest Project

The following assignments represent the majority of your grade in this class.  I will be randomly checking on you to see how you are progressing through the project and I will be giving 3 grades on your work in class.  In other words, I am interested in seeing if you are approaching this project with a good work ethic and self discipline.

1. You must approach this assignment from the viewpoint of someone who has graduated successfully from high school and must now begin living independently.

2. You will complete several research assignments and learn some important facts that will allow you to make better choices as a consumer.  Follow the instructions carefully for each step.

3. For the purposes of this project you must assume that you are on your own and will not receive help (financial or otherwise) from anyone else or bring anything with you from the life you knew in high school (such as your car).

4. Your quest must culminate in a PowerPoint presentation to the class.  The presentation must give the information required in the following assignments.
Projects that present not only the required information, but go above and beyond (creative slides or presentation, and additional interesting information) will receive an A

5. Make sure you save your presentation to your student number and find some alternative method to save it, such as a jump drive, which may be borrowed or purchased from me .   All projects are to be professional in appearance and delivery and everyone must be ready to present on the due date.  There are no exceptions.  This class is required for graduation and if you fail this nine weeks then you will have to take it again in order to graduate.

Presentations will begin ___Wed., Sept. 29th_________.

Check here for grading and for required turn-in items.
