                   -Achieving Independence-
“The day before I left home I stayed up all night, wandering through the house, staring at the wallpaper in my room that we were always going to redo someday with something I liked, looking out the kitchen window as the sun came up over the greenhouse across the street. And I thought to myself, ‘This is it. Things will never be the same again. Sure, I can come home again, but I will never be a child in this house again.' I'm glad those days are gone. I hope I never have to go back there and live off my parents again. But I'm sad too-for what happened, and didn't happen, and because that part of my life is all over now, do you know what I mean?”     Anonymous
